SUPPORT TO IMPROVE THE OPERATING CONDITIONS OF THE COFFEE SEEDLINGS NURSERY

UBACAFE is a group led by 10 women coffee growers from the municipality of Ubaque in the department of Cundinamarca.

For the past 3 years, the group has been undertaking its business of selling coffee seedlings with great effort, managing to obtain a competitive and profitable price, favoring the coffee growers who buy from them and generating income for themselves and their families. However, this year they do not have the necessary resources to purchase the operational material (baskets, water tanks and bags) for the operation of their nursery.

With this project, the aim is not to generate such a high increase in the prices of seedlings, so that they can endow their business, generate profit, manage a sale price that is not so high, and achieve savings so that they can invest and next year have sufficient resources to be profitable and manage good prices.

With your help, the group of women will be able to equip themselves with 10 baskets to transport coffee seedlings, a 500-liter tank to facilitate irrigation and 15,000 bag units to pack the seedlings, which will strengthen their community nursery business.
