The main goal of the project “Manos al Agua” was to guarantee access to drinking water. For a middle school in the municipality of Andes, located in the department of Antioquia, the project delivered a potable water filter, enabling all the kids who attend this school to have access to drinkable water.
For Carmen Tulio Ocampo, a coffee grower from the municipality of Planadas in the department of Tolima, being able to handle the coffee pulp during the benecifio process is crucial. Therefore, we were able to build her a pulp processor in order to achieve the proper handling of coffee pulp at her coffee farm.
One of the biggest needs of a coffee farmer in the deparment of Meta is to have a normal stove, which doesn´t harm the health of the person cooking. In order to make a life changing project, we were able to support different families with a new and eco-efficient stove. With these stoves we contributed to improve the quality of life, preventing respiratory diseases and taking care of the environment in the coffee areas as well.
The project "Building Smiles" delivered improvements to the community, contributing at the school of Santa Teresa in the municipality of Rioseco. This project helped rebuild the school in order to give the kids of the town a nice place where to go to study. The well-being of the coffee families of this region was positively changed.
